Solid downtown stay

easy check-inclean roomparking price
the location was fantastic i noticed its near shops and dining spots, perfect for exploring. i liked the easy check-in and check-out made everything smoother. i was glad to see the room was clean and the price for parking at 30 cad per night felt acceptable.
the ac unit in the room didn't work very well, when maintenance tried fixing it and left the door ajar. this seemed like a risk to my belongings and i got no recompense.
Rooms
9/10
the room had a mini fridge and a desk that were useful. storage space for my suitcase. i saw no coffee station in the room, but there was a free coffee machine available in the lobby. housekeeping was excellent whenever i saw them in the hall.
Location
10/10
the hotel location allows easy access to attractions such as science world, gastown, and chinatown. i found free shuttles available to places like stanley park, capilano suspension bridge, and canada place. it's pretty safe to walk around here.
Dining

i saw communal kitchens and also enjoyed the walkability to rogers arena and bc place. the area boasts many restaurants, so that was quite convenient. there is also a coffee machine in the lobby with expresso etc.

Mediocre Stay. Room Issues

loud air conditioningpoor soundproofing
The room felt quite small. The air conditioning made a lot of noise. It was annoying. I also noticed noise from the hallway easily. I think they could improve soundproofing.

clean rooms and helpful staff

easy check-inclean roomhelpful staffbathroom situation
Check-in was easy. The rooms were clean. I found the staff to be very helpful. The rooftop gargantuan and patio was lovely. Tea and coffee were offered freely in reception, which I enjoyed. I did appreciate being able to store my luggage on the day of check-in since my arrival was early.
I found the bathroom situation a little awkward. The bathroom was shared. I am not used to sharing a bathroom with strangers. The lack of soundproofing meant I could hear everything.
Location
10/10
This place has an excellent location. It allows for easy access to public transport. Walking to many points of interest is straightforward and convenient.
Service
9/10
The staff was very attentive. I felt that the staff were helpful. They offered assistance whenever I needed it, and the reception area provided complimentary tea and coffee, a NICE touch.

expensive staysmall room
the price felt too high for the small room i got. sharing a bathroom wasn't ideal at that price point, i have never had to do that before. the spot for parking costed extra, and was hard to fit my vehicle in. that felt a bit much for one night.
